Driver App Privacy Notice
Last updated: 12 October 2026. This notice is for drivers who use the MobilityDrive Driver app.
The MobilityDrive Driver app is provided by Moweb Technologies Private Limited ("MobilityDrive", "we", "us") to transport companies. Your account is created by the company you drive for. That company decides what the app is used for and is responsible for your data. We process it on the company's behalf.
1. What the app collects
- Location. Your precise location while you are driving a duty, from the time you set off for the pickup until the duty ends, including when the app is in the background or the screen is off. Your approximate location may be used on the home screen to show where you are. Location is not collected when you are not on a duty, with one exception: SOS, below.
- SOS. If you press the SOS button, an alert goes to your company's control room with your position at that moment and the duty you are on, if any. This happens whether or not you are on a duty.
- Leave and attendance. The leave requests you make in the app, with their dates and reasons, and the attendance your company records for you, which the app shows you.
- Account details. Your name, mobile number, email address if your company entered one, profile photo, and the details and photos of your driving documents.
- Duty records. The duties you are given and the steps you record: times, odometer readings, stops, expenses and their receipt photos, fuel entries, incident and inspection reports and their photos, and messages you send to your company's dispatch team.
- Passenger confirmation. The passenger's signature on the duty slip and the PIN they give you.
- Device information. Your phone model and operating system version, a push notification token, and the battery level sent with location points.
2. Why it is collected
To give you your duties, to let your company dispatch and track its vehicles, to let the passenger of a duty see where the car is, to record the distance and charges of a duty, to produce the duty slip and the invoice, and to keep the records your company must keep.
3. Who sees it
- Your company's staff who manage duties, vehicles and billing.
- The passenger or booker of a duty, who can see the vehicle's position, your first name, the vehicle and your phone number during that duty, where your company has switched this on.
- Service providers that run the service for us: hosting, mapping (Google Maps Platform), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and message delivery.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
4. How long it is kept
Duty, billing and tax records are kept for as long as your company's account is active and for the period the law requires such records to be kept. Location points are kept with the duty they belong to. When your company closes its account, its data is deleted or anonymised after the retention period.
5. Your choices
- You can turn off location permission in your phone's settings. Duties then cannot be tracked, and your company may not be able to give you duties.
- You can ask your company to correct your details.
6. Deleting your data
Ask the company you drive for to remove your account, or write to themd@moweb.com from the mobile number or email address on your account. We will pass the request to your company and delete your account and personal details within 30 days, except records your company is required by law to keep, such as duty and invoice records.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is limited to your company's authorised staff and to our staff who support the service.
