Cab fare calculator for operators quoting a duty
A free cab fare calculator for cab, taxi and car rental operators. Quote a local package, an outstation trip or an airport transfer from your own rates, with extra kilometres, extra hours, driver allowance, night charge, toll, parking, state tax and the tax rate you type. Every figure is yours.
How is a cab fare worked out for a booked duty?
A booked cab duty is priced in one of three ways. A local duty is a package: a base fare that includes a number of hours and kilometres, plus a rate for each extra kilometre and each extra hour. An outstation duty is a rate per kilometre with a minimum number of kilometres per day, plus a driver allowance for each day and a night charge. An airport transfer is a flat fare. Toll, parking and state tax are added as paid, and tax is charged at the rate that applies to the operator. The calculator below does that arithmetic from the figures you type.

How the calculator works out each duty type
Local package: the base fare covers the hours and kilometres in the package, for example eight hours and eighty kilometres. Extra kilometres are the kilometres run less the package kilometres, and extra hours are the hours used less the package hours. Each is multiplied by its own rate and added to the base fare.
Outstation: the chargeable kilometres are the kilometres run or the minimum kilometres per day multiplied by the number of days, whichever is more. They are multiplied by the rate per kilometre. The driver allowance is charged for each day and the night charge for each night.
Airport transfer: one flat fare for the transfer. For every duty type, toll, parking and state tax are added as you enter them. Tax is worked out on the fare at the percentage you type, and you can choose whether it is also charged on toll, parking and state tax, because operators treat those differently. The calculator shows currency symbols for rupees, UAE dirhams and Saudi riyals. It does not convert between them.
Quoting a cab duty without mistakes
Most disputes over a cab bill start at the quote. State what the package includes, whether kilometres and hours are counted garage to garage or from reporting to release, the rate for each extra kilometre and extra hour, what the driver allowance and night charge are and when they apply, and that toll, parking and state tax are charged as paid. Then record the duty on a duty slip that captures the same readings: the free duty slip format has every field this calculator uses.
When the duty is done, the bill is the same arithmetic on the actual readings. The GST invoice format for cab operators sets it out as a tax invoice.
Fare packages and tariffs in MobilityDrive
A calculator is useful for one quote at a time. MobilityDrive holds your tariff, so a dispatcher does not work a fare out by hand: packages of hours and kilometres with extra kilometre and extra hour rates, kilometres per day for outstation duties, garage-to-garage billing where the duty type calls for it, and driver allowances such as night and outstation. A client's contract rates are applied to that client's bookings.
The duty is then priced from the kilometres and times on the duty slip that the driver records in the app, and the invoice is raised from it. See taxi and cab fleet software in India, car rental software and fleet dispatch software. MobilityDrive's own subscription prices are on the pricing page.
This calculator is a general tool, published in October 2026. The figures in it are examples and your own inputs, not market rates. It is not tax or legal advice: the tax rate and whether tax applies to toll, parking and state tax depend on your service and your registration, so check with your accountant.
Cab fare calculator: frequently asked questions
How do I calculate the fare for a local cab package such as 8 hours and 80 km?
- Start with the base fare for the package. Add the extra kilometres, which are the kilometres run less 80, multiplied by your rate per extra kilometre. Add the extra hours, which are the hours used less 8, multiplied by your rate per extra hour. Then add toll and parking and the tax that applies.
How is an outstation cab fare calculated?
- Multiply the rate per kilometre by the chargeable kilometres, which are the kilometres run or the minimum kilometres per day multiplied by the number of days, whichever is more. Add the driver allowance for each day, the night charge for each night, toll, parking and state tax, and the tax that applies.
Does the calculator use real market rates?
- No. Every figure is one you type. The figures shown when the page opens are examples to show how the calculator works. They are not market rates and not MobilityDrive prices.
What tax rate does the calculator use?
- The one you type. It is blank to begin with, because the rate depends on your service and your registration. This page is general information and not tax advice: check the rate with your accountant.
Can I quote in dirhams or riyals?
- Yes. Choose AED or SAR and the amounts are shown with that currency and two decimals. The calculator does not convert between currencies.
Is my data sent anywhere?
- No. The calculation runs in your browser and the figures you type are not sent to us or stored.
Can MobilityDrive work out fares automatically?
- Yes. MobilityDrive holds your packages, extra kilometre and extra hour rates, kilometres per day for outstation duties and driver allowances, applies a client's contract rates, and prices the duty from the readings on the duty slip.
