MoveInSync alternative for corporate cab operators: how MobilityDrive compares

MoveInSync and MobilityDrive both deal with employee transport, but from opposite sides of the contract. MoveInSync's own pages describe software and a managed service for the employer whose staff ride; MobilityDrive is software for the operator that supplies the cabs and bills the employer. This page sets them side by side, from MoveInSync's own pages read on 24 October 2026.

Is MobilityDrive an alternative to MoveInSync?

It depends on which side of the contract you are on. If you are an employer that wants automatic routing, rosters, shuttles and a managed service, MoveInSync's pages describe those and MobilityDrive does not build rosters or optimise routes. If you are the cab operator that runs the duties, MobilityDrive is built for you: recurring shift duties, allotment with document checks, a driver app with duty slips, a corporate portal for your client and one GST invoice for the month. Many operators work with a client's employer-side system and still need their own operator system behind it.

What MoveInSync says it offers

MoveInSync's home page describes MoveInSync ION Commute as a software service that automates employee transportation and workplace management, MoveInSync ION Workplace for workplace and space management, and MoveInSync ONE, a fully managed employee transportation service in which MoveInSync provides the technology, the fleet and the operations. Its pages list home to office cabs, fixed route shuttles, corporate car rentals, intra-office shuttles, nodal pickup and drop, business rentals and a metro feeder service.

The ION employee transport page says the home to office offering includes scheduling, routing, real-time tracking, automated billing, safety and security measures, compliance and detailed reporting, and that it manages 4, 6 and 12 seat vehicles. Fixed route shuttles include booking, live tracking, compliance monitoring and automated billing; corporate car rental supports ad-hoc bookings such as airport transfers and client visits from the employer's fleet partners, with live tracking, billing and payment gateways. The page also describes metro tickets with QR access and corporate carpooling, and its FAQ mentions vendor management, SOS buttons and safe reach verification.

The pages are written for organisations and employers. The site's country selector lists India, the USA, the Philippines, South Africa, Latin America and a global site. The pages we read do not publish prices.

Where MobilityDrive differs

MobilityDrive is the operator's system, not the employer's. A corporate cab operator in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Pune or Hyderabad holds the client's repeating shift duties as recurring bookings (daily, weekly or monthly, up to 365 duties from one booking), allots a car and a compliant driver on the dispatch board, and records each trip in the driver app with opening and closing kilometres, tolls and parking. The client's admin team can book in a corporate portal with approval rules and travel policies, and sign in with its own OIDC single sign-on. Our page on employee transport management software for India has the detail.

The month ends in billing rather than in a report. Trips are priced from the client's contract, the month's duties are raised together on one GST tax invoice with CGST and SGST or IGST, an IRN is added through the e-invoice connector you configure, the receipt records the TDS the client deducted, and a credit note corrects a disputed charge. The client can open its invoices, statement and duty slips in the portal. Drivers and vendor drivers are held to the same document checks, and both the driver app and the customer app have an SOS button that reaches the control room staff you name.

What MobilityDrive does not do matters as much here. It does not build shift rosters or optimise routes automatically: you set the duties and the pickup order. It does not run shuttles by seat, metro tickets or carpooling, and it does not supply vehicles. MobilityDrive has three apps: a driver app, a customer app for passengers and a dispatcher app. The Android apps are in Google Play review and the iPhone apps are not yet published. The apps carry MobilityDrive branding; apps under your own brand are built to order and quoted separately.

Who should choose which

MoveInSync may suit you better if you are the employer: a company that wants rosters and routes planned automatically, shuttles and metro feeders alongside cabs, carpooling, workplace and space management in the same product, or a single partner that supplies the technology, the fleet and the operations. MobilityDrive does not offer any of those.

MobilityDrive may suit you better if you are the operator that runs the cabs for one or more corporate clients and need your own system for dispatch, driver documents, duty slips, vendor cars and GST billing, whatever system each client uses on its side. It may also suit an operator with clients in Saudi Arabia or the UAE, where it invoices under VAT and runs in Arabic. An operator serving a MoveInSync client still has its own allotments, drivers, vendor payables and invoices to run.

Questions to ask before you choose

Ask who the software is for: who logs in every day, who owns the data and who raises the invoice. Ask whether rosters and routes are generated or entered, and what happens when an employee cancels at the last minute. Ask how vendor cars and their bills are handled, and how a disputed trip is corrected on the month's invoice. Our employee transport management KPIs guide and the dispatch software checklist for corporate transport give you the questions in full.

MoveInSync vs MobilityDrive: frequently asked questions

What is the difference between MoveInSync and MobilityDrive?

MoveInSync's own pages describe employee transport software and a fully managed service for employers, with scheduling, routing, shuttles and workplace tools. MobilityDrive is software for the cab operator that runs the duties: dispatch, a driver app with duty slips, a corporate portal for the client and GST billing. They sit on opposite sides of the contract.

Does MobilityDrive do routing and rostering like MoveInSync?

No. MobilityDrive does not build shift rosters or optimise routes automatically. You set the duties and the pickup order, and recurring bookings repeat them daily, weekly or monthly. If automatic routing is what you need, choose a product that offers it.

How much does MoveInSync cost?

The MoveInSync pages we read on 24 October 2026 did not publish prices. MobilityDrive's Indian plans are from 2,500 rupees a month for Dispatch and 3,500 rupees a month for Operate, quoted for the duties you run.

Can a cab operator use MobilityDrive while the client uses MoveInSync?

Yes. They do different jobs. The client's system serves the employer; MobilityDrive runs the operator's own allotments, drivers, vendor cars, duty slips and GST invoices. MobilityDrive has a booking API and webhooks for exchanging data, but no ready-made connector to MoveInSync.

Is there an SOS button for employees in MobilityDrive?

Yes. A passenger using the customer app can raise an SOS on a trip that is under way, and drivers have an SOS button in the driver app. The alert reaches the control room staff you name.
