Routematic alternative: how MobilityDrive compares for transport operators
Routematic's own pages describe employee transport as a managed service with its own fleet, and a transport app for employers with route optimisation and rosters. MobilityDrive is software for the operator that runs booked duties and bills clients. This page compares them from Routematic's own pages, read on 24 October 2026.
Is MobilityDrive an alternative to Routematic?
For an employer that wants transport delivered as a service, with a fleet, a command centre and automatic routing, Routematic's pages describe that and MobilityDrive is not a substitute: it supplies no vehicles and builds no routes. For a transport operator that runs its own cars and attached vendor cars for corporate clients, MobilityDrive is the system that runs the business: bookings, dispatch, the driver app, duty slips, GST or VAT invoices and receivables.
What Routematic says it offers
Routematic's home page describes Routematic TaaS as enterprise transport as a service for the modern workplace, a managed service that combines its mobility technology with its own fleet, run from a command centre available around the clock. It also describes a Transport SuperApp covering daily commutes, visitor travel, event logistics and parking, with automated routing, tracking and billing. The pages name Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad.
The employee transportation page lists AI based route optimisation, employee rosters through web or app, automated business distribution to vendors, vendor performance management, automated billing, escort check-in, a panic workflow and centralised live tracking. The corporate transportation page describes the fleet, including electric vehicles, a command centre that supports trips and handles contingencies, GPS tracking, panic buttons, monitoring of women-only trips, dispatch that flags likely delays early and automatic vehicle allocation by proximity and availability, with "various billing models" and no long-term commitment.
The pages are written for employers that manage staff commutes. Vehicle owners and drivers have their own route in: forms to attach a vehicle and to drive for Routematic. The pages we read do not publish prices; the FAQ says cost depends on things such as workforce size, number of shifts, route distance, vehicle type and city.
Where MobilityDrive differs
MobilityDrive is software, sold to the operator, and the operator keeps its own fleet, drivers, vendors and clients. Bookings arrive from the operator's team, the client's corporate portal, the customer app, a website booking API or a bulk import. The dispatch board checks each allotment for a clashing duty, an expired vehicle or driver document and a driver on leave, and optional auto-allocation pairs a car and a driver together. The driver records the duty slip on the phone and the client approves it from a link. The fleet dispatch software page describes the dispatch side in full.
Billing is the operator's own: contract tariffs per client, consolidated monthly invoices on a schedule, GST tax invoices with an IRN through your e-invoice connector in India, VAT invoices with ZATCA Phase 2 in Saudi Arabia (tested in ZATCA's developer sandbox, with live onboarding per customer) and PINT AE files in the UAE, receipts with TDS, credit notes, ageing and a Tally export. Vendor duties keep the vendor's cost against the trip, and vendor bills and payables are tracked with TDS under section 194C.
MobilityDrive does not optimise routes, generate rosters, manage parking or events, or supply vehicles or a command centre. MobilityDrive has three apps: a driver app, a customer app for passengers and a dispatcher app. The Android apps are in Google Play review and the iPhone apps are not yet published. The apps carry MobilityDrive branding; apps under your own brand are built to order and quoted separately.

Who should choose which
Routematic may suit you better if you are an employer that wants one partner to provide the vehicles, the drivers, a round-the-clock command centre and the technology, with routes and rosters planned for you and parking or event transport handled in the same app. MobilityDrive does none of those things.
MobilityDrive may suit you better if you are a transport operator with your own cars, drivers and clients, and you want your own system for dispatch, duty slips, vendor cars and tax invoices, in India or in the Gulf. An operator that attaches vehicles to a managed service still needs to run the rest of its business somewhere, and an employer that keeps its own transport vendors may prefer each vendor to run a proper operator system. Our employee transportation software page sets out what MobilityDrive covers for this kind of work, and what it leaves out.
A fair way to compare
If you are an employer, ask both what you are buying: a service with vehicles, or software that your vendors or your own team run. If you are an operator, ask who owns the client relationship, the data and the invoice. Either way, run one real month of duties through the demo, including cancellations, a late login and a disputed trip, and see where each lands. The nine criteria for comparing dispatch software apply here too.

Routematic vs MobilityDrive: frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Routematic and MobilityDrive?
- Routematic's own pages describe a managed employee transport service with its own fleet and a transport app for employers with route optimisation and rosters. MobilityDrive is software for transport operators that run their own fleets: bookings, dispatch, driver app, duty slips and GST or VAT billing. It supplies no vehicles.
How much does Routematic cost?
- The Routematic pages we read on 24 October 2026 did not publish prices. Its FAQ says cost depends on workforce size, number of shifts, route distance, vehicle type and city. MobilityDrive's Indian plans are from 2,500 rupees a month for Dispatch.
Does MobilityDrive optimise routes like Routematic?
- No. MobilityDrive does not optimise routes or generate rosters automatically. You set the duties and the pickup order, and recurring bookings repeat them.
Can an operator that works with Routematic use MobilityDrive?
- Yes, for the rest of its business. MobilityDrive runs an operator's own clients, drivers, vendor cars, duty slips and invoices. There is no ready-made connector to Routematic.
Does MobilityDrive work outside India?
- Yes. A company can invoice in SAR with 15% VAT and ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing, tested in ZATCA's developer sandbox, or in AED with 5% VAT, and the admin console and the three apps are available in Arabic and English.
